The Company is a leading transport and logistics provider based in Bradford, West Yorkshire. The company was founded in 1988 by Robert Rushworth as Pennine Parcels. It started operations with just four vehicles including two vans. Today it has grown into a multi-award-winning distribution group.
The company rebranded as Expect Distribution in 2006 after years of steady growth. It focused exclusively on palletised distribution following a strategic shift in 1997. They became a founding member of Palletline in 1992. They later became the largest inputting member by delivering its one-millionth pallet in 2000.
Company gives customers full visibility over their palletised shipments. The company launched its in-house TMS system Motion in 2024 for improved tracking. Their portal login provides businesses direct access to shipment data. Real-time updates are available throughout the entire delivery journey.
The company operates over 530,000 square feet of storage across its Bradford sites. It manages more than 70,000 pallet spaces across its warehouse network. The Woodlands facility opened in 2019 as a 200,000 square foot storage site. A further 22,000 spaces were added in 2022 through a one-million-pound racking investment.
Company employs over 500 colleagues across its group of companies. It operates a fleet of more than 200 vehicles including new electric vehicles. The 2023 acquisition of Pallet Plus added 80 colleagues and 40 vehicles. The 2025 acquisition of Longs of Leeds brought group turnover to over 80 million pounds.
